Immaculate Conception Chapel was established to serve
the sacramental and spiritual needs of the Saint Francis University community.
In addition to regular celebration of the Eucharist and sacrament of
reconciliation, the University is normally allowed to celebrate the sacrament
of matrimony for alumni and other members of the University community, with
permission from the rector of our local parish, the Basilica of St. Michael the
Archangel. During Holy Week, the Chapel may also celebrate the sacraments of
initiation - baptism, confirmation, and first Eucharist - if there is
sufficient student interest and preparation.
Infant baptisms and funerals are rarely celebrated in
Immaculate Conception Chapel, as the proper place for celebrating these
liturgies is in a parish.? Please contact
your local parish for these liturgical services.
Sunday offertory contributions are restricted and used
to pay for ongoing and future capital improvements to the Immaculate Conception
Chapel. Checks payable to “Saint Francis University” will be processed by the
Advancement Office, and acknowledged in a letter from the Advancement Office.
These letters should be kept for tax return purposes.
